Riichi Log Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the current version of the Riichi Log mobile app.

Riichi Log is a score-tracking and match-logging app for in-person riichi mahjong.

This Privacy Policy explains how BoredTap handles information in the current version of the Riichi Log mobile app.

1. Information stored on your device

Riichi Log stores app data locally on your device, including:

Player names you enter
Match results, scores, rules, and hand events you choose to save
In-progress match drafts and resume data
Player statistics calculated from saved match data
Language and other app preferences
Local counters used for the free daily tenpai-query allowance
Local counters used to control the timing of rating prompts
A locally cached record of whether Riichi Log Pro is unlocked

This information is used to provide score tracking, match history, player management, analysis, sharing, usage limits, and preference features.

2. No Riichi Log account required

Riichi Log does not require you to create a Riichi Log account or sign in to a service operated by BoredTap.

The optional iCloud Backup feature uses the Apple Account already managed by iOS. Riichi Log does not display an Apple Account sign-in form and does not receive your Apple Account email address or password.

3. No advertising or developer analytics

The current version of Riichi Log does not include:

Advertising SDKs
Analytics SDKs
Third-party tracking tools

BoredTap does not operate a server that receives your player names, match history, scores, or tenpai hands.

4. Purchases and purchase restoration

If you purchase or restore Riichi Log Pro, the transaction is processed by the app marketplace used on your device, such as Apple’s App Store or Google Play.

Riichi Log receives the purchase status and product information required to unlock Pro. BoredTap does not receive your complete payment-card details.

The marketplace processes purchase information under its own terms and privacy policy.

5. Ratings and review prompts

Riichi Log may ask the operating system to display the app marketplace’s standard rating prompt.

The app stores only local timing information and completed-session counters used to avoid showing the prompt too often.

Any rating or review you submit is processed by the relevant app marketplace.

6. Sharing

Riichi Log creates share images locally on your device.

Information is passed to another app or service only when you actively open the system share menu and select a destination.

The selected third-party app or service processes the shared content under its own privacy policy.

7. Manual iCloud Backup and device backups

On iPhone and iPad, you may choose to create or restore a Riichi Log backup in your private iCloud database. Data is sent to iCloud only when you actively choose Back Up Now or Restore from iCloud; this feature does not continuously synchronize changes.

A manual iCloud backup can contain:

Player names and player identifiers
Saved match history, scores, rules, record source, and hand-analysis data
New-match drafts and unfinished-match resume data

It does not contain your language choice, Riichi Log Pro status, tenpai-query counters, or rating-prompt counters.

Riichi Log retains up to the three most recent manual backups in the private CloudKit database belonging to the Apple Account currently signed in on the device. Apple operates iCloud and processes this data under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. BoredTap does not operate a separate backup server.

You can delete all Riichi Log iCloud backups from Settings > Data > iCloud Backup. Deleting the app or its local data does not by itself delete backups already stored in iCloud.

Depending on your device and backup settings, local Riichi Log data may be included in backups provided by Apple, Google, or your device manufacturer.

BoredTap does not control these device-level backup services.

8. Data retention and deletion

Local information remains on your device until you delete it.

Riichi Log provides controls that allow you to:

Delete saved players
Clear saved match history and the player records calculated from it
Delete all manual Riichi Log backups from your private iCloud database

You can also remove local app data by uninstalling Riichi Log or clearing its storage through your device settings.

Purchase records are retained by the relevant app marketplace under its own policies and may remain available for purchase restoration.

9. Security

Riichi Log relies on the security and app-sandbox protections provided by your operating system.

No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect access to your device and backups.

10. Children’s privacy

Riichi Log is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a service operated by BoredTap.

11. Support and policy webpages

When you visit a BoredTap webpage, the website host may process basic technical logs, such as:

IP address
Browser type
Requested page
Request date and time

These logs may be used for website security, reliability, and troubleshooting.

If you contact support by email, BoredTap receives your email address and the information you choose to include. This information is used to respond to your request.

12. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Riichi Log’s features or data practices change.

The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a new version is published.

2. 不需要 Riichi Log 帳戶

Riichi Log 不需要你建立 Riichi Log 帳戶，亦不需要登入由 BoredTap 營運的服務。

可選用的 iCloud 備份功能會使用已由 iOS 管理的 Apple Account。Riichi Log 不會顯示 Apple Account 登入表格，也不會收到你的 Apple Account 電子郵件地址或密碼。

3. 沒有廣告或開發者分析追蹤

目前版本的 Riichi Log 不包含：

第三方追蹤工具

BoredTap 沒有營運接收玩家名稱、對局歷史、分數或聽牌手牌的伺服器。

4. 購買及恢復購買

當你購買或恢復 Riichi Log Pro，交易會由裝置所使用的應用程式商店處理，例如 Apple App Store 或 Google Play。

Riichi Log 只會收到解鎖 Pro 所需的購買狀態及產品資訊。BoredTap 不會收到你的完整付款卡資料。

應用程式商店會按其條款及隱私權政策處理購買資料。

5. 評分提示

Riichi Log 可能要求作業系統顯示應用程式商店的標準評分提示。

App 只會在本機儲存避免過度顯示提示所需的時間及已完成對局計數。

你提交的評分或評論會由相關應用程式商店處理。

6. 分享

Riichi Log 會在你的裝置本機產生分享圖片。

只有當你主動開啟系統分享選單並選擇目的地時，資料才會交予另一個 App 或服務。

你所選擇的第三方 App 或服務會按其隱私權政策處理分享內容。

7. 手動 iCloud 備份及裝置備份

在 iPhone 及 iPad 上，你可選擇在私人 iCloud 資料庫建立或還原 Riichi Log 備份。只有當你主動選擇「立即備份」或「從 iCloud 還原」時，資料才會傳送至 iCloud；此功能不會持續同步改動。

手動 iCloud 備份可包含：

玩家名稱及玩家識別碼
已儲存對局歷史、分數、規則、紀錄來源及逐局分析資料
新對局草稿及未完成對局的繼續資料

備份不會包含語言選擇、Riichi Log Pro 狀態、聽牌查詢計數或評分提示計數。

Riichi Log 會在目前裝置所登入 Apple Account 的私人 CloudKit 資料庫內保留最近三份手動備份。iCloud 由 Apple 營運，Apple 會按其條款及隱私權政策處理相關資料；BoredTap 不會營運另一個備份伺服器。

你可在「設定 > 資料 > iCloud 備份」刪除所有 Riichi Log iCloud 備份。單純刪除 App 或本機資料，並不會同時刪除已儲存在 iCloud 的備份。

本機 Riichi Log 資料是否包含在 Apple、Google 或裝置製造商提供的備份中，視裝置及備份設定而定。

BoredTap 不會控制這些裝置層級的備份服務。

8. 資料保留及刪除

本機資訊會保留在你的裝置上，直至你將其刪除。

Riichi Log 提供以下資料管理功能：

清除已儲存的對局歷史，以及由該歷史計算的玩家紀錄
刪除私人 iCloud 資料庫內所有 Riichi Log 手動備份

你亦可透過卸載 Riichi Log，或在裝置設定中清除 App 儲存空間，移除本機資料。

購買紀錄會由相關應用程式商店按其政策保留，並可能繼續用於恢復購買。

9. 安全性

Riichi Log 依賴作業系統提供的安全性及 App 沙盒保護。

任何電子儲存方式均不可能保證絕對安全，因此你應妥善保護裝置及備份的存取權。

10. 兒童隱私權

Riichi Log 並非以兒童為主要對象，也不會透過 BoredTap 營運的服務刻意收集兒童個人資料。

11. 支援及政策網頁

當你瀏覽 BoredTap 網頁，網站託管服務可能會處理以下基本技術紀錄：

IP 位址
瀏覽器類型
請求的頁面
請求日期及時間

以上紀錄可能用於網站安全性、穩定運作及疑難排解。

當你透過電子郵件聯絡支援，BoredTap 會收到你的電子郵件地址及你主動提供的內容。相關資訊只會用於回覆你的查詢。

12. 政策更新

當 Riichi Log 的功能或資料處理方式改變，本隱私權政策可能會更新。

發布新版本時，頁面頂部的生效日期亦會更新。
